We are located on the border of Chinatown and The Lower East Side in Manhattan. Formerly a boxing gym, now a 60 seat ‘killbox’ comedy club serving non-alcoholic beverages. No bartenders, no servers, no drink minimums - no distractions.
Check out our upcoming shows, each running an hour long, featuring established New York comics, touring headliners and fearless future stars of comedy.
The club takes its name from the infamous pamphlets ‘Welcome To Fear City - a survival guide’. These were printed by a disgruntled NYPD at odds with then mayor Abe Beame and distributed to tourists arriving at New York’s airports in 1975.
Jonezy Karona first visited New York in the summer of 1984. Graffiti, DJ’ing, MC’ing, breakdancing and most importantly the quick witted, fast talking street hustlers left an indelible mark on the psyche of this visiting 14 year old Swede. Now, 40 years later, he welcomes you to the best little comedy club in town.
There is nothing to fear…
